Bid Description:
Removal of existing concrete bridge and CMP culvert and replacement with a new precast box culvert and wingwalls along the East Branch of the North River in Jacksonville, Vermont. Specifically, the work will include, but not limited to: mobilization, utility pole relocation, electrical conduit installation, traffic control, sediment and erosion control, excavation, control of water, removal of the existing bridge, removal of the existing culvert, installation of new precast culvert & precast wingwalls, installation of block retaining walls, full depth roadway reconstruction, asphalt paving, pavement
markings, sidewalk and curb replacement, guardrail, bridge rail, sign replacement, restoration and related roadway and channel work in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bids are requested for the following Contract: General Construction. This project is funded in part through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The following provisions apply to this WORK (more detail for each of these provisions can be found in Instruction to Bidders): 1. Bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. 2. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements. 3. Performance BOND and Payment BOND each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. 4. ‘AIS” (American Iron and Steel) provisions of P.L. 113-76, Consolidated Appropriations Act. 5. Federal Wage Rates as determined under the Davis-Bacon Act. 6. Prohibition on Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment.
