Bid Description:
The State is seeking a contractor to conduct rates training workshops for water systems of all sizes throughout Vermont. The purpose of the training is to educate water systems on how to gain and maintain financial sufficiency while providing quality drinking water at fair rates. Topics will include financial management, designing appropriate rate structures, setting fair rates that cover costs of running the system, and planning for funding future capital costs. Water systems staff will also be trained how to appropriately communicate reasons for rate increases to their customers. Board members, operators, managers, accounting personnel, and support staff will be encouraged to participate in these trainings.
