Bid Description:
The Agency of Human Services (AHS) has the widest reach in state government and one of the most critical missions: to improve the conditions and well-being of Vermonters today and tomorrow, and protect those who cannot protect themselves. The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) assists beneficiaries in accessing clinically appropriate health services, administers Vermont's public health insurance system efficiently and effectively, and collaborates with other health care system entities in bringing evidence-based practices to Vermont Medicaid beneficiaries. Vermont seeks input from the vendor community about contemporary Pharmacy Benefit Management(PBM) offerings that will be built on MITA 3.0 compliant architecture meeting CMS 7 standards and conditions. Vermont is targeting release of a request-for-proposal (RFP) in the spring of 2013 for a full MMIS replacement. Understanding the marketplace offerings of PBM systems is an important step as Vermont crafts its MMIS replacement RFP.
