Bid Description:
The Town of Fairfax is inviting trucking companies to bid on the hauling of winter material. This bid consists of two parts that shall be quoted separately: 1) hauling 3,000 yards of winter sand from Leaches Sand Pit 3027 Reservoir Road Enosburg, VT 05450 to Fairfax Public works garage at 317 Fletcher Road Fairfax, VT 05454; 2) hauling 1,000 yards of 5/8 minus from Rainville’s Pit (McCullough Crushing Inc.) at 1168 Skunk Hill Road Georgia, VT to Fairfax Public Works garage at 317 Fletcher Road Fairfax, VT 05454.
A Certificate of Liability Insurance, Holds-Harmless Certificate, W9, and a General Service agreement will be required of the selected contractor. Bid selection will be per the Town’s Purchasing Policy (available online at www.fairfax-vt.gov). The completion date for the successful bidder will be completed by no later than Friday September 30, 2023 during Town business hours of 7AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday.
Please submit sealed bids by August 30, 2023 at 3PM to Sarah Hadd, Town Manager at the Town of Fairfax, 12 Buck Hollow Road, Fairfax, VT 05454 or via email to townmanager@fairfax-vt.gov. Bid opening will occur at 3:05PM at the Town Offices.
