Bid Description:
DEC put out a Request for Information in late 2022 to obtain input on potential in-lake treatments to address the challenges in Lake Carmi, and building on the responses it has received as well as our own analyses, we have decided that a phosphorus inactivation approach is the best solution for the current challenges at Lake Carmi and should allow us to make progress towards the TMDL’s in-lake phosphorus concentration target. Therefore, DEC is seeking proposals for the completion of a diagnostic feasibility study for a phosphorus inactivation treatment in Lake Carmi. Up to $100,000 is available for this work, to be conducted between July 1 and October 31, 2023, with final reports submitted by December 31, 2023.
