Bid Description:
The Vermont Department of Health (VDH) is pleased to announce a one year grant opportunity beginning during the 2017-2018 academic school year. The VDH WSCC Team is seeking proposals from eligible Vermont-based Local Education Agencies (the term LEA is used synonymously with supervisory unions, school districts, and public/private academies) to implement the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development’s (ASCD), Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model, and use this LEA WSCC team to update and improve the LEA’s local School Wellness Policy. Up to three LEA proposals will be awarded. The selected LEAs will receive $8,000 each. The anticipated grant period will be September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018.
